Zinc Oxide – why is it used in tape adhesive?

There are trace elements of zinc oxide in the body, it is essential for many bodily function; taste, smell, appetite, fertility, growth, cell division and the immune system.  Zinc Oxide is a mild astringent and has antiseptic properties.  By using it in the adhesive for our tape it helps block irritants from contacting the skin, minimising infection and promotes healing and cell repair.
